Description

I love making these cute little pebbles out of recycled gold or silver.
I made this one out of 925 silver. It has a small 3 mm Ethiopian Black Opal in it.
The pendant comes with a 925 Sterling silver chain.
This pendant has been difficult to photograph to get the nice play of colors. But I did get a picture that is not a nice picture.
Opals are found in different parts of the world. Most of the colorful flashy opals come from Australia and Ethiopia. In this one I put one from Ethiopia.
Fun facts about opals: The difference between Australian and Ethiopian opals is that when Ethiopian opal gets wet it absorbs water. But over time it becomes nice again when it has dried in the air. But Australian ones don’t.
Opal is October Birthstone. Those born in October enjoy two spectacular birthstones to commemorate their birthdays – opal and tourmaline.
